Children see animals everywhere. From the family pet, to wild animals, to stuffed animals, toys, and media images, animals make up a huge part of a young person’s world. At Magnolia, we believe a child’s relationship with the animal kingdom is nothing less than magical and an opportunity to build respect, responsibility, and nurture a young sense of wonder.

　　孩子們到處都能看到動(dòng)物，從家庭寵物到野生動(dòng)物，再到各種動(dòng)物形象的周邊產(chǎn)品，動(dòng)物在孩子們的心中占據(jù)了非常重要的地位。在上海黃浦區(qū)民辦瑪諾利婭主題幼兒園，我們相信孩子與動(dòng)物王國的關(guān)系不僅僅限于探索神奇的生物，更是建立和培養(yǎng)孩子們相互尊重、相互關(guān)愛的品質(zhì)。

　　Learning about animals in the right context is crucial, so we’ve made a curriculum to help students begin to understand these magnificent creatures, both in books and in real life. Recently, at Mr. Zoo children got the chance to see up close, what these furry, slimy, scaly, and sometimes winged friends are up to!

　　在良好的環(huán)境中認(rèn)識(shí)、了解動(dòng)物也是至關(guān)重要的，因此我們制定了一個(gè)課程，幫助孩子們了解這些神奇而偉大的地球生物。最近，在MR.Zoo動(dòng)物元，孩子們有機(jī)會(huì)近距離看到這些各種各樣、不同形態(tài)、不同特征的動(dòng)物朋友!

　　Led by the knowledgeable staff, children learned what makes each animal unique, their favorite foods, and how they can be well-taken care of. The students even got to feed and “hang around” with some of the amazing animals, themselves.Look how the cockatiels were eager to make new friends and the goat especially was no stranger to socialising with anyone who had tasty snacks!

　　在工作人員的帶領(lǐng)下，孩子們了解了每種動(dòng)物的獨(dú)特之處，它們最喜歡的食物，還有它們不同的生活習(xí)慣。孩子們甚至可以拿著小動(dòng)物最喜歡的食物親自喂食，這是多棒的體驗(yàn)啊!看,這些鳳頭鸚鵡是多么渴望結(jié)交新朋友，還有小山羊，吃著孩子們喂給它的稻草有滋有味，一點(diǎn)都不怕陌生人!

　　“What's its name?”Where does it live?"Is it nice?", the children asked."Can I touch it?""What does it eat?""Will it bite me?" They inquired.

　　“它叫什么名字?”“它生活在什么地方?”孩子們會(huì)問?！拔铱梢悦鼏?”“它喜歡吃什么?”“它會(huì)咬我嗎?”他們問道。

　　At Magnolia, we know these kinds of learning experiences are not only fun and exciting, but they instill respect for life and an awareness of the needs of others(human, or not!),as well as give children an understanding of how to interact with other living things.
