蘇州楓華學校A-Level國際高中部在Senior Mathematics Challenge（英國高級數(shù)學挑戰(zhàn)賽）中斬獲佳績！
本次大賽共66名學生參加，其中45名同學獲銅獎以上獎牌。金獎5人，銀獎25人，銅獎15人。中加楓華國際學校有6名學生將進入下一輪英國數(shù)學奧林匹克競賽Round1的賽事。
賽事介紹
Senior Mathematical Challenge，（簡稱SMC），由英國數(shù)學協(xié)會（United Kingdom Mathematics Trust，簡稱UKMT）組織舉辦。
UKMT是用來選拔國際數(shù)學奧林匹克競賽選手的通道。UKMT通過一系列數(shù)學競賽來選拔優(yōu)秀學生，并提供輔導計劃和暑期學校，最終挑選六人代表英國參加國際數(shù)學奧林匹克競賽。UKMT組織的三種級別（初級，中級，高級）的數(shù)學個人競賽每年吸引來自四千多所學校的六十多萬學生參與，是英國規(guī)模最大和最具影響力的全國性數(shù)學競賽。
參與比賽的同學進入前66%即可獲獎，在獲獎學生中，以3：2：1的比例設(shè)置銅獎、銀獎和金獎的比例，另外，在獲獎學生中還會選出年度最優(yōu)獎和學校最優(yōu)獎。前1000名的最優(yōu)參賽學生還會受到邀請參加第一輪的英國數(shù)學奧林匹克競賽。
All students will receive a certificate of participation. To recognize the highest performers in the Challenge, we award the top-scoring 66% of participants Bronze, Silver and Gold certificates in the ratio 3:2:1. Students that are 'Best in Year' or 'Best in School' will also receive a badge to denote this on their certificates. Certificates have the student names pre-populated and can be downloaded and printed as soon as results are released.In addition, we invite around 1,000 of the very highest performers to take part in the British Mathematical Olympiad Round 1.
