Tianjin International School has transformed into an artistic wonderland this Spring semester!
今年春天,天津思銳外籍人員子女學校毫不夸張地成為了藝術仙境!

Everywhere you look at TIS you can see the wonderful artwork produced by our students. But did you know that each of the pieces displayed around the school has a purpose? That’s what we discovered from TIS’ art teacher, Mrs. Gloria Lee.
TIS隨處都擺放著學生們精心創(chuàng)作的藝術品。但大家是否知道,這每件藝術品的背后都有特別的意義呢? TIS視覺藝術老師Gloria Lee為我們真正解讀了這些為人不經意間帶來驚喜的藝術創(chuàng)作。

Mrs. Lee said that something she has been teaching in her class this year is what art can do and how it can inspire others. Helping motivate students to love art and use art to convey a message is all part of the thinking behind a lot of the projects located around the campus.
Lee老師說,今年她的視覺藝術課教學主題之一是探索藝術能做什么,藝術能如何為人帶來啟發(fā)。校園里這些作品為大家?guī)砻赖南硎?,同時也激勵學生更加熱愛藝術創(chuàng)作,并學會用藝術向觀賞者傳達信息。

One such example of students’ art sending a message is the cardboard fish hanging from the 3rd floor. These seemingly swimming pieces are made from the acrylic paint on recycled cardboard materials that may have otherwise been thrown in the ocean and cause harm to our planet’s sea-life. The Middle School student’s researched ocean pollution and created this piece to encourage us all to think about what our planet would be like without these creatures and how to better take care of our plastics and trash.
三樓懸掛的卡紙魚就是學生們用藝術傳遞信息的例子。這些栩栩如生的魚兒仿佛真的在游動。它們是用丙烯顏料在回收的硬紙板上畫出來的,而這些硬紙板如果沒有回收,就會被丟棄進海洋,破壞海洋生態(tài)。初中的孩子們調查研究了海洋污染,并創(chuàng)作了這個作品,鼓勵大家思考,如果我們的地球沒有了這些可愛的魚,會變成什么樣子;還有,我們該怎樣更好地處理塑料和其他垃圾。

Another Middle School piece with an environmental message is the cardboard animals marching around the school. These animals are made from cardboard that we have used here at our own school! The message of these animals is to encourage reducing, reusing, and recycling our trash and to live a green life.
另一個傳達環(huán)保信息的初中生作品是占領了學校各個角落的硬紙板動物模型。制作這些動物模型的硬紙板都是學校里回收來的!這些動物們要表達的信息是對廢品要“減少產生,重復使用,回收利用”,提倡更加綠色環(huán)保的生活方式。

Other art pieces around the school include a giant painting on the main stair steps, small, colorful characters, watercolor self-portraits, ink drawings of inspiring figures, and much, much more! All of the art around the school has created an atmosphere of positivity and creativity.
校園中其他的藝術作品還包括:一樓到二樓的主樓梯臺階巨幅裝飾畫,各種色彩豐富的小作品,水彩自畫像,充滿創(chuàng)意的人物、動物,等等等等,數(shù)都數(shù)不過來啦!這些作品為學校營造出積極向上、充滿創(chuàng)意的的氛圍。
