This past weekend, ten of our students participated in the ASIJ Robotics competition in Tokyo, Japan.

　　上周末，我們的高中學(xué)生前往日本東京參加了ASIJ機(jī)器人大賽!

　　n this year’s game, the teams built robots from scratch that could stack cubes and move them into scoring goals. They also lifted cubes and scored them in point multiplying goals to earn even more points.

　　Each year the game changes, so the students are required to solve new and exciting engineering problems. This year’s students performed very well in the competition with two teams making it to the quarterfinals and one team making it to the semifinals of the tournament. The games were very close and exciting. One of our teams also took home the sportsmanship award, exemplifying the excellent way that our students represented TIS during the tournament.

　　在今年的比賽中，各個(gè)參賽隊(duì)伍從零開始建造機(jī)器人，這些機(jī)器人可以堆疊方塊并將方塊移動(dòng)到得分點(diǎn)。他們還能舉起方塊移動(dòng)到加倍得分點(diǎn)，從而獲得更多點(diǎn)數(shù)。每年的游戲規(guī)則都在變化，所以每次學(xué)生都要解決新的令人興奮的工程問題。今年TIS的學(xué)生們?cè)诒荣愔斜憩F(xiàn)很好，兩支隊(duì)伍進(jìn)入四分之一決賽，一隊(duì)闖進(jìn)了半決賽。比賽非常激烈，令人興奮。我們的一支隊(duì)伍還獲得了體育精神獎(jiǎng)，他們?cè)诒荣愔械谋憩F(xiàn)，完美詮釋了天津思銳外籍人員子女學(xué)校學(xué)生們的精神面貌。

    Our students were also able to enjoy one day of touring around Tokyo. We went up the Skytree tower to see a view of Tokyo, crossed the famous Shibuya intersection, and enjoyed the great food Tokyo has to offer. We are thankful for a great trip and hope our students can continue to pursue excellence in engineering and robotics throughout the year.

　　我們的學(xué)生還在東京參加了一日游。我們登上天空之樹塔俯瞰東京，穿過著名的涉谷十字路口，享受東京的美食。我們感謝這次比賽之行，也希望我們的學(xué)生能夠在接下來的一年中繼續(xù)在工程技術(shù)和機(jī)器人技術(shù)方面追求卓越。
